Quilt Entries

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. All quilts must be entered by a member.
2. Five entries per person, this includes Member Quilts and Judged Quilts.
3. Please indicate your priority for hanging, i.e.: 1. 2. 3.
4. You are responsible for insuring your entries.
5. Sew a hanging sleeve and attach to the top of the quilt.
   Download Sleeve Instructions for sewing a 4" hanging sleeve.

IMPORTANT DATES

• ALL JUDGED QUILT ENTRIES must be turned in at the March 13, 2012 Prairie Quilt Guild Meeting;
  OR post-marked March 13, 2012 to be entered into the show.
• Judged Quilts must be at the Drop-Off Site between June 13 & 15, 2012.
  Please phone ahead to make an appointment.
• Drop-off Sites: to be determined.

• ALL NON-JUDGED QUILT ENTRIES must be turned in at the March 13, 2012 PQG Meeting;
  OR post-marked March 13, 2012 to be entered into the show.
• Non-Judged Quilts must be at the Drop-Off Site between: (dates to be determined).
  Please phone ahead to make and appointment.
• OR items may be brought to Century II on June 20, 2012 between 7:00a.m. and 8:00a.m.
• Drop-off Sites: to be determined.

Judge - Carol Butzke, AQS Certified Appraiser/Judge

Carol is certified by the AQS as a textile appraiser; is one of three instructors for the AQS Certification Program; a member of the Certification Board and a member of PAAQT. She has attended and continues to attend classes and lectures pertaining to appraising, conservation, preservation and dating of textiles.

She is also a National Quilting Association Certified Judge, teacher, lecturer, quiltmaker, and quilt collector. Her quilts have won numerous awards and have been published in many books and magazines. She has served on the Board of Directors of the NQA, Wisconsin Quilters, Inc. and the Wisconsin Quilt History Project.

Carol has appeared with Nancy Zieman on public television's Sewing With Nancy and has published articles in The Quilter's Magazine. In addition her quilts have appeared in several noted quilt publications, calendars, and the cover of a college history text book.

As an added bonus, Carol will also be doing quilt appraisals.
